PETALING JAYA: Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong paid a visit to a single mother at Kampung Rahmat Sri Lalang, Johor on Sunday (Feb 7).

Dr Wee, who is also the Transport Minister, said he visited 36-year-old Umi Naza Osman at her rented house to hand over some basic necessities

In a post on his Facebook page Sunday, Dr Wee said he handed over rice, cooking oil and cooking utensils during the visit.

“She is a single mother who is very resilient in supporting her seven children,” he said, adding that she relies on the income from the sale of burgers and banana chips.

Dr Wee, who is also MCA president, hoped that with the utensils given, Umi is able to produce more chips and this will help increase her income.
